Presidential Visit to Our Chapter

The Montanuniversitaet Leoben SPE Student Chapter is excited to announce that SPE International President Elect Darcy Spady will visit our university very soon!

PE Technology Outside of the Box

We are familiar with our equipment, and know how to use it to drill for oil and gas. It's also quite commonly known that the same technology is used for geothermal wells. But drilling for humans is quite unusual.

On January 18, the Montanuniversitaet Leoben SPE Student Chapter had the honor of welcoming Mr. Leopold Abraham at the HS DPE. He spoke to 16 students of geosciences, petroleum and mining engineering about how he was one of the leading persons in the rescue after mining tragedy of Lassing, Styria.
