The SPE Student Chapter Leoben would like to invite you to the livestream of the distinguished lecture program from the SPE Vienna Basin Section.
Today, continous streams of online data are routinely delivered by remote pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and flowmeters; optimized decisions are returned to remotely actuated field chokes, valves and pumps.
The presentation will give an overview on how the oil and gas industry uses improved remote connectivity in oil and gas fields and adopts the principles of the digital oilfield and integrated operations to implement new ways of working and effectiveness of operations while supporting safety and integrity, minimizing losses (production and penalties) and maximizing production and reservoir recovery.
Matteo Giovannoli is the Continental Europe Production Domain Champion for Schlumberger Software Integrated Solutions. In his 15 years in the industry, Matteo held various positions in development, implementation and execution of digital oilfield technology and solutions. He is currently the co-leader of Schlumberger’s Digital Oilfield Special Interest Group and is co-inventor on a US patent addressing Acid Fracturing Optimization using Artificial Intelligence Technologies. He holds a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Leoben in Austria and has been a member of SPE for over 25 years.
