SPE Student Chapter Leoben
On 2nd July 2021, a delegation of our chapter had the chance to visit the OMV Innovation & Technology Center in Gänserndorf, Lower Austria.
We’re pleased as punch to announce our Chapter’s involvement in the Energy4me initiative. Through our direct participation in the Advisory Team for North Sea, South, Central, and Eastern Europe we’ll be helping create a sustainable energy education program and sharing best practices in conducting school visits and Energy4me events.
Shauna Noonan, 2020 SPE President, visited our university on February 26. She met with students, academic staff, and engaged in fruitful discussions with our professors.
The SPE Mission Statement is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competencies.
We’re pleased to introduce the new board of our chapter, elected in the annual general meeting that saw the old board off and set the tone for the coming year. With ambitious goals for both the chapter and the student body set forth, the stalwart new members are eager to prove they’re equal to the task and then some.
