The SPE Student Chapter Leoben was proud to host members of the SPE BUE Student Chapter as part of their Summer School program, which included a joint workshop on July 30, 2026, and an industry site visit to OMV in Gänserndorf on August 3, 2026.
The joint workshop provided an opportunity for members of both chapters to exchange experiences, discuss chapter activities, and share ideas and best practices from their respective universities and SPE communities. The session concluded with a friendly competition, adding an engaging and enjoyable element to the exchange.
A few days later, the program continued with a visit to OMV in Gänserndorf, giving the participating students valuable exposure to the energy industry and insights into professional operations. We sincerely thank OMV for warmly welcoming the group and for sharing valuable knowledge and industry perspectives with the students.
Special appreciation goes to Ms. Karez Abdulhameed for her valuable support in organizing the OMV visit, and to Motasim Daibib for accompanying and guiding the group on behalf of the SPE Student Chapter Leoben.
We would also like to thank the SPE BUE Student Chapter and all participating students for the great exchange and enthusiasm throughout the program.
