We are happy to announce that RAG is offering a guided tour of their facilities in Zistersdorf on 21st June 2016.
Dear Petroleum Engineering students,
your local SPE Student Chapter is delighted to announce that RAG is offering a guided tour of their facilities in Zistersdorf on 21st June 2016. A bus will be leaving Leoben at 7:30 am and we will be back in Leoben around 7:30 pm. The schedule will include:
• Introduction to geology and production history of the Gaiselberg field
• Production and injection wells (pumping units, Automatic Fluid Level Control System)
• Production and treatment facilities (oil treatment unit, heater, separator, flooding unit, pumping, field workshop)
• Workover operations (if taking place)
• Tank farm
This is a great opportunity for petroleum engineering students, especially for those with rather limited oil and gas industry exposure (including first and second year students!), to get a comprehensive insight into all aspects related to Exploration & Production (upstream) as well as refining and transport (midstream) operations. The tour will be in English.
This entire field trip will be offered for free for SPE members and costs 40€ for non SPE members. SPE members are only required to pay 20€ deposit to reserve their spot, which will be refunded after the excursion. We encourage you to take advantage of all the benefits a SPE membership has to offer by signing up today: spe.dpe.ac.at/join/ This is a professional network you will be using throughout your personal career in Petroleum Industry, so why not start building it right away!
The 20 slots for this excursion will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. So, be quick and sign up via: http://eepurl.com/b3MiTj Registration deadline is Friday, 03/06/2016 at 3:00 pm. After having received all registrations, we will be contacting you in regards to your payment.
We are looking forward to your registrations and a great trip to Zistersdorf. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
Best Regards and Glück auf,
Jesse and Markus
